In 1924 a group of farmers and gardeners who were concerned about the depletion of soils, crops and livestock asked Rudolf Steiner for guidance. He responded by creating an agricultural course which consisted of eight lectures on “the spiritual foundations for a renewal of agriculture” Using this as a basis, generations of farmers, gardeners and viticulturists have developed biodynamics, a healing, ecological and spiritual approach to the sustainable care of the Earth.
