SMITH'S BOOKSHOP is now open again at the                                                                     TANNERY POP UP EMPORIUM, 3 Garlands Road, Woolston, Christchurch, 8023.                                                                                                                                                               We are now trading again from a pop up shop in the new retail development by the Opawa River at Woolston. We opened there on 15th November 2012. We are enjoying seeing all our old customers again and to meeting many new ones. Remember we are buying suitable stock now.

The February Christchurch earthquake caused extensive damage to our old retail shop at 117 Manchester Street and it was in the red zone from then on. After ten months of waiting the building was demolished just before Christmas 2011. We were able to gain entry right at the end but much of our stock was lost with the building. Since the earthquake we have been restocking and our ONLINE BOOKSHOP is open and trading. We are also taking phonecalls and email as normal.
