This book, some pages of which hold as much thrill and tragedy as those of a "wild west" novel, is a "human interest" history of Rotorua and environs, over the period from circa 1350 A.D. to the early 20th century, and deals with the Maori, the trader, missionaries, explorers, the Armed Constabulary, and places and buildings of historic interest.
