ADVENTURES OF A SURVEYOR IN NEW ZEALAND AND THE AUSTRALIAN GOLD DIGGINGS
John Rochfort
610220313

Rochfort worked as a Government Surveyor, and in the 1860s made important surveys of Westland, Nelson and Canterbury. He discovered the Amuri Pass. This is a facsimile of the very scarce book he wrote after his first year surveying in the North Island, which paid so poorly he was forced to the Victorian gold diggings in 1852.
