Captain Scott's journals, followed in the second volume by the Scientific Reports and Journals of Dr E A Wilson and the surviving members of the fateful expedition to the South Pole. The rare first printing, with maps and photographic plates, some coloured, with tissue guards. Navy cloth with gilt titling, and top edges gilt. THIS SET is in very good condition, with original bookseller label of Simpson and WIlliams, Christchurch, at foot of each endpaper. The set has been in Christchurch since the original purchase.
