The full and well illustrated story of New Zealand's last and largest and most technologically advanced timber milling settlement in the remote Waitutu forest of Southland. Begun in 1915 the mill collapsed in the 1930s depression to become a ghost town. The restored Percy Burn viaduct can still be seen.
