The Way We Were is a series of books that captures through photographs the essense of everyday life in New Zealand prior to 1960. Christchurch was founded by men with a vision of creating a Utopian society and, though they fell short of that ideal, the city has alwys had a distinctive air that set it apart from other New Zealand Cities.
