Description

Robin Lee-Robinson was formerly Mrs Barry Crump, the wife whose marriage to 'the good keen bloke' of Kiwi legend lasted longest. She shared many of Barry's adventures and was also his producer of the fondly-remembered 'Bush Telegraph' radio show. Robin shares somes personal anecdotes of the Radio Pacific era, and is joined in this walk down memory lane with Trevor Watson, now in his 90s. A man infatuated with radio since he was 12 years old, Trevor was known to the many fans of Radio Pacific (now Radio Live) as a long-term contributor to the talkback scene, and a fountain of knowledge about Auckland's history and architecture. Together he and Robin have co-authored a fascinating book. The book includes contributions from radio personnel, both presenters and the backroom workers, as well as from Radio Pacific listeners.
