Norman Ledgerwood is a retired architect who has practiced in Dunedin, has worked overseas for several years and travelled extensively. He has previously written a history of Deborah Bay, a small settlement in the Lower Otago harbour, is a member of the committees of the Otago Settlers' Association and the Port Chalmers Historical Society and is a life member of the Friends of the Hocken. He is a retired Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.
