This book contains, in addition to personal memoirs, a brief history of high-country runs which hithero has not been written. Mrs. Hosken has recorded some of the excitement and grandeur of life as it really was in the early Mackenzie County and Mount Cook region and many are the humerous tales of shearers, shepards and swaggers. A folding map is included in the rear. 

This copy has a worn and soiled dust jacket, with creases and losses, especially around the spine and corners.  Signed by Evelyn Hosken.
