Collected editions of the Tatler, a journal published for two years beginning in 1709, written by Richard Steele under the nome de plume Isaac Bickerstaff, Esq.  The Tatler was originally collected in a 1710-11 edition, and this is the third volume of a collection published in 1728.


This copy has a detached front board, which bears the bookplate and signature of social worker and poet Mary Ursula Bethell.  Spine and rear shows cracking. Board extremeties are worn.  Pen signature to title page. Pages are tanned, but very limited foxing.
