Secondhand. Petticoat Pioneers One, Two and Three. All three are first edition (1973, 1975 and 1980).

Book One and Two are about North Island women of the colonial era, including personal studies of 94 women, no matter they are Maori or Pakeha, married or single, educated or barely literate, well-to-do or poor off.

Book Three is about South Island women of the colonial era,  providing a wealth of opportunities for new immigrants in the 1900s- if they were enterprising. The forty women portrayed here, who settled from Nelson to Bluff, certainly possessed this quality in abundance; without it they surely would never have survived.

All in very good condition. Minor foxing and shelf-wear to the dust jacket. Tape-mended dj to the volume Three.
