Northland author Keith Money uses a variety of media to record his subjects, from film and taped interviews to watercolours and photographs. "Margot Assoluta",is the concluding volume of a unique quartet in Dance literature; it follows Keith Money's three titles which have highlighted different aspects of the remarkable career of Margot Fonteyn, prima ballerina assoluta. He has been quoted as saying of his ballet images, most particularly those of Fonteyn, that "it was just good luck to have such a great subject". If that is so, then it might equally be said that it was his subject's luck to be recorded so consistently by someone who understood her, as these images so abundantly demonstrate.
